“DC Universe Puts the Brakes on Wonder Woman 3 Despite Gal Gadot’s Claims of Greenlit Project by James Gunn and Peter Safran”

Despite actress Gal Gadot’s claims that the third installment of Wonder Woman had been approved by studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, it appears that the film will not be moving forward in the rebooted DC Universe. Although development on the project was announced to the public in 2019 and greenlit in 2020, director Patty Jenkins was eventually removed from the project after the restructuring of the DC Extended Universe. According to sources from Variety, neither Wonder Woman 3 nor any other Wonder Woman projects are currently in development at DC Studios, aside from the previously announced Paradise Lost prequel series for Max. Despite Gadot’s recent statements in an interview with Flaunt Magazine, indicating that Gunn and Safran planned to move forward with the third installment, it seems that the future of the project remains uncertain.

Unfortunate news for fans of Wonder Woman as the third installment of the superhero movie will no longer be moving forward in the DC Universe. Despite Gal Gadot, who stars as Wonder Woman, claiming that the project had been greenlit by studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, it seems that the film has been scrapped. Reports suggest that director Patty Jenkins, who helmed the first two female-led superhero movies, rejected studio notes on her treatment for the sequel, which led to her exiting the project. Although there were attempts to move the sequel in a different direction, Jenkins claimed that the studio heads did not understand her vision or the trajectory of Wonder Woman. It remains to be seen if the film will ever come to fruition.
